     Devin lived a very long, wonderful life.  I helped him to the Rainbow Bridge on April 25, 2005 at age 14 1/2 years.  He survived hurricane Katrina, herniated disks, paralysis… but even a daredevil has his limits.  He fought hard but on that day I saw that he was finally tired of fighting.  He died peacefully in my arms, finally at rest, the battle won.

       When I acquired Devin I decided on a puppy from German working lines.  I found what I was looking for from a breeder in North Carolina, Monica Hazel.

    Devin has turned out to be a pretty good working boxer.  He is very stubborn at times and how he performs in the ring totally depends on his mood at the time!  If he is in a good mood, he can do wonderful and usually scores very well.  He has won 5 specialty High In Trials with scores all in the 190s.  He completed his UD on 1/11/99 at 7 1/2 years old.  Some pictures of Devin’s wins can be seen below.
